| Belmopan – The springboard to Adventure & Business |

Nestled among the Western Hills, Belmopan is the Capital City of Belize. Belmopan has retained a warm and friendly, small town atmosphere and is one of the most secure and ethnically diverse of all Belize’s communities.
Belmopan is the obvious place to stay for those with governments or embassy businesses but it has an enormous amount to offer the visitor as it is CENTRALLY located in the country and so many attractions are within easy reach.

For the nature lover, we have two of the country’s national parks right on our doorsteps,Guanacaste Parkand The Blue Hole.
Bird and rain forest abound, as do swimming, horseback riding and hiking opportunities.
Caving along the scenic Hummingbird Highway or cave tubing at Jaguar Paw off the Western Highway is spectacular.
Just slightly further a field is the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, with its waterfalls, cascading streams and limestone caverns.
If you wanted to try a longer day’s expedition a visit to the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve (the only one in the world) is easily possible. The Belize Zoo is within easy reach.

Belmopan is home to the Department of Archaeology which stores all the artifacts found in the various excavation around the country. As well as the Belize Archives, where historic records are stored. Both open their doors to visitors (by appointment) who can spend hours browsing through old, or even very old Belize.
We are also within easy reach of many important archaeological sites, including the ancient Mayan metropolis of Caracol and the hilltop citadels of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech.
A leisurely drive through the immediate countryside will give you a taste of almost every aspect of Belizean life. When it comes time to leave you can make your early flight at the Phillip Goldson International Airportt without having to get up before the birds do.
So come, visit Belmopan, the Capital of our nation and springboard to adventure and business.
